All hail the (still officially unnamed) Bozeman Makerspace!
I'm trying to figure out what to do for my first project. I'd like to build a LunaMod for sure, since it seems pretty low-key. Famous last words I'm sure, since I have about as much natural aptitude with a soldering iron as a fish with a bicycle.
Of course, in my search for a voltage regulator for the project, I remembered that I still haven't built that Ampeg Scrambler clone I've been eying for years. I need another dirt pedal like I need a hole in the head; but after a quick trip to TonePad and a larger-than-anticipated online order, I'm in possession of both voltage regulators and more groovy, fuzz-inducing transistors than I probably know what to do with. Heaven help us all.
I'll probably etch a PCB for the Scrambler while I'm waiting for all the components to arrive. I might solder some traces together for the LunaMod as well, since Make Magazine lays the whole thing out pretty well. I also need to get enclosures together for both projects, as well as all the other fiddly stuff I've probably forgotten about (bypass circuits, external voltage, etc...) I'll keep the blog updated!
